Fresh from announcing their sixth studio album, Songs From The Wedding Cake, and the biggest headline tour of their career, Blossoms have today announced a special intimate hometown show at Manchester’s iconic Deaf Institute on Wednesday 5th August.

The one-off performance celebrates ten years since the release of the band’s Mercury Prize-nominated self-titled debut album.

The show will see the band return to one of Manchester’s most beloved independent venues (with a capacity of just 250) ahead of their forthcoming UK arena tour. The performance will be recorded and released as an exclusive live double CD edition of Songs From The Wedding Cake, capturing a landmark hometown show marking a decade since the album that introduced Blossoms.

Fans can access an exclusive pre-sale by pre-ordering Songs From The Wedding Cake in any format from https://www.blossomsband.co.uk/. Those who have already pre-ordered the album will automatically qualify and will receive their pre-sale code via email.

Pre-sale: 9:30am, Thursday 30 July

General sale: 9:30am, Friday 31 July

The announcement follows news of Songs From The Wedding Cake, released on 2nd October via ODD SK / Distiller Records. Featuring recent singles ‘Joke About Divorce’ and ‘Meet Me In Love’, the album sees Blossoms at their most ambitious and personal, pairing infectious hooks with the band’s most confident songwriting to date.
