After taking a quick break from extensively touring their latest album, Sleepless Empire, Italian metal titans LACUNA COIL are releasing a lyric video created by 12Inch Media for the mesmerising ‘In Nomine Patris‘, just before embarking on more touring for the rest of the year and in early 2026. “Once we decided to make a lyric video for the song ‘In Nomine Patris’ we thought we should use the opportunity to bring some of Roberto Toderico’s drawings to life,” says Andrea Ferro. “He did such an amazing job in designing the art for ‘Sleepless Empire’ that it would deserve a complete animated version of the whole album! Obviously, we can only do so much and we’ve opted for this specific song that’s been striking so many people’s hearts. It’s a song about facing the fear of being influenced by things much bigger than us, that we can’t totally comprehend or that we think we’re not ready to face, something we consider sacred in a way. We need to take it one step at the time, day by day, ….it takes time to build an empire.”
The video lands just before the band hits the road again. And they are especially thrilled to announce coming back to the Middle East, Australia and Asia in early 2026. Andrea Ferro comments:
“The new year will finally see us go back to the Middle East, Australia and Asia, we can’t wait to bring the new songs and also the classic LC tunes. We don’t get to visit very often but whenever we travel there, it’s always very special, it feels like a journey into ourselves, it reminds us of how great and diverse the world is and how much music unites us all even in these weird times. Sleepless Empire was released in February of 2025 and marks the 10th studio album of LACUNA COIL via their longtime label, Century Media Records.
The band on the overall concept of the album:

We find ourselves in between, having witnessed a full analogic world and the modern one, confronting the evolution and searching for a true meaning of it all. Throughout every song, the journey is an undercurrent of rebellion, a desperate cry to reclaim oneself in an era that seems to have lost its sense of time and reality.”
