Scottish alt-rock trio Anchor Lane will release their new single It’s The End, My Friends via R7 Music on Friday 19th June 2026.
Available to stream and download through all major digital music platforms from the day of release.
Taking form in the Glasgow-based three-piece true signature style, It’s The End, My Friends is a hard-hitting track that is full of emotional energy and packs a riff-driven punch that will undoubtedly move the heads of rock fans across a variety of generations. Unapologetic, heavy, and brutally honest, the song blurs the lines between alternative rock, modern metal, and emotive story with Anchor Lane’s latest musical offering by chronicling the exhausting, final moments of a toxic relationship. From the hesitant opening of an unexpected phone call to a massive, anthemic chorus, the track perfectly captures the bitter liberation of finally walking away and the sense of relief that follows.
Talking about the new single, band said “this track is among our best work to date. We feel this writing and instrumentation is balancing an interesting line between the sounds from rock artists of the past who have influenced us growing up and integrating the modern sound that has been developing across the rock genre spectrum in recent years. It’s a real in your face track that takes no prisoners!”
It’s The End, My Friends was produced by Bruce Rintoul at 45 A-Side Recordings in Glasgow.
Anchor Lane recently wrapped up a successful UK touring run with The Dead Collective and a storming set at Breaking Bands Festival 2026.
The band look forward to more festival activity in the summer including performances at SOS Festival and Maid of Stone Festival.
Both will be followed by the band’s hometown show in the iconic King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut on Saturday 19th September, and dates at Hard Rock Hell Great Yarmouth and Leos Red Lion Gravesend in November with more shows expected to be announced very soon.
