Johnny Marr has announced his biggest-ever headline solo show to date with a special outdoor performance at Manchester’s iconic amphitheatre, Castlefield Bowl, for Thursday 9th July 2026. The show will also feature very special guests Everything Everything. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 17thOctober, HERE.

The news confirms Johnny Marr’s first UK live show announcement for 2026, with the special homecoming performance set to land amongst a major year of exciting new activity.

Today’s announcement closely follows the release of Look Out Live! The new 22-track live album recorded at Johnny’s sold-out headline show at London’s Hammersmith Apollo in 2024. High energy, atmospheric intensity, electro-soul anthems and all-in singalong moments, each led by Johnny’s vocal carrying the same sharp clarity and emotional weight as his signature guitar playing and songwriting. The album has been described by Record Collector Magazine as “a hero’s welcome”, Classic Pop Magazine praised “so much vitality”, Classic Rock Magazine said, “this live album confirms how solidly Johnny has established his own post-Smiths identity”, whilst MOJO added, “Marr’s four solo albums since 2013 have been studded with pearls”.

Johnny Marr’s live show landed in North America in September with major performances at Shaky Knees Festival, Atlanta, GA, CBGB FEST, Brooklyn, NY, and headline shows across the country. The tour continues into Europe through October and November, with full dates listed at www.johnnymarr.com.

Johnny recently recorded four new songs with Gorillaz for their upcoming album The Mountain, and teamed with Franz Ferdinand to record their latest single ‘Build It Up’, before a surprise reunion with The The bandmate Matt Johnson at the Forever Now Festival – also Johnny’s own exclusive UK summer live performance for 2025.

Johnny Marr’s 2026 Castlefield Bowl show will include a performance by special guests Everything Everything. The Manchester band bring dystopian ‘Black Mirror’-style concepts to songs which thrillingly find the sweet spot between esoteric experimentation and art-pop accessibility. They have earned critical acclaim and a devoted following, leading to five Ivor Novello and two Mercury Prize nominations, a run of six consecutive Top 10 albums, and major headline shows including London’s Alexandra Palace
.
