British rockers Beth Blade & The Beautiful Disasters released their latest single; ‘Limerence’ on September 5th, the follow up to their previous efforts, ‘Never Let Go’, ‘You Only Love Me When You’re Drunk’, and ‘Damage’. The release precedes their latest album; “Vintage Rebel x Trauma Bond”, the follow up to their 2022 album “Mythos, Confession, Tragedies and Love”, which will release on September 12th!

Speaking about the meaning behind their new album Blade said:
“This is an album for those whose souls are torn in two, for those who need to escape from real life or who wear a mask to get through their day. For the moments we’re able to forget the world and burn brightly to the music and for the nights we don’t wanna turn off the light because we fear ourselves more than the monsters. It’s two distinctive sides and personalities existing in one vessel to deliver a story.”

“Vintage Rebel” explores the retro, the history, the old school and everything we’ve learned from the trailblazers of the past about rock and roll and what that legacy means to us with our own twist. While “Trauma Bond” is something else entirely. It’s about the pain, the struggle, the fight to keep going in the face of all the darkness and being able to sit with it and still choose to move forward.”

Limerence is a psychological state of involuntary, obsessive infatuation with another person, characterized by intense longing for reciprocation and a desire for a relationship. It’s different from love or lust, as it’s primarily based on uncertainty about the other person’s feelings and the desire to be desired. While anyone can experience limerence, certain individuals are more prone to it, particularly those with insecure attachment styles, unmet emotional needs, and a history of trauma or neglect.

Speaking about new single ‘Limerence’, she further stated:
“Have you ever loved someone so much that it hurt? That you couldn’t eat, couldn’t sleep, couldn’t think straight because they’re on your mind? Then it might not be love, but obsession. Falling under a spell of desire can come with a price. Darkness and longing, a yearning so consuming you’d let the world burn if it meant you got to hold them for a minute. The want, the need, the infatuation and wishing that the object of your desire to join you, just for a moment in the ‘Limerence’”.
