If you are a fan of alternative and politically charged music, then the recent underground punk gig at Patterns should definitely be on your radar. The night was a testament to the true spirit of British punk, with Skurvi delivering a tight and impassioned performance that got the crowd well and truly fired up, and The Cockney Rejects taking things to an even higher level. The set was packed with classics of the genre, and the mosh pit was a roaring sea of punks young and old, united by the irresistible urge to collide.
The overall atmosphere of the night was electric, with a sense of camaraderie and shared passion palpable among the crowd. It was clear that the gig had struck a chord with the punk faithful in attendance, many of whom praised Skurvi as one of Brighton’s own and a genuine force to be reckoned with in the punk scene.
All in all, the night rates a solid 9/10, and I can easily say that it was one of the most lively and enjoyable nights out I have had in recent memory. If you are looking for gritty, authentic music that speaks to the heart of the working class, then Black Rabbit Productions and the alternative music nights at Patterns are definitely worth keeping an eye on.
